This Is probably of no interest to anyone. My Dad (b 1884 d 1973) taught me this song when I was a little boy. It's genre is lost to antiquity, thank goodness, but probably from the age of sarcasm which was prevalent in the 1920s. Songs of that era had a unique cadence and they attempted to use as many different chords as possible. For goodness sake, please overlook my aged cracking voice. I just wanted to give all a glimpse into what folks like those of us who frequent this forum were creating and jamming with a couple of generations ago.

Such an underrated playing style, I find this style truly amazing to listen to, it sounds so busy and you play it really well, lyrics are amusing too.

Thanks for posting it, I enjoyed it

Fantastic, chammon ... I love your voice, your playing and the song has me grinning from ear to ear. I'd also love to hear Ry Cooder have a go at that one, it'd be right up his alley!

Chammon,

I really, really enjoyed this song! I loved the words, the playing and your voice.

I think we need more of this kind of music - it's very alive and vibrant.

Great job!
Jim

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
