Layla...!!!
For as long as this song has been around, and as popular as it has been, I'm just
getting around to learning it now... Talk about being behind the times... (Sheesh...!!!)
As always your criticisms are most welcome...!!!

PS. I placed the backing in the "BackingTrack" section... Would love to hear other renditions
of this song from you guys and gals... !!!
All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Great post nocat. Sound was dead on. If you're around my age, that music is what we grew up with and means more for us to learn how to play.

You guys are too kind... Please accept my kindest thanks for your nice words...!!!
For the longest time, the only people who heard my stuff where my wife and myself.
I a m grateful that you allow me the privilege of sharing these little things with you, and
for your support and encouragement...!!!
As a musician, it is very easy to stagnate and become bored with your art, if you have
no outside input. I mean, what good is it to create, if no one is ever going to share in
your creation...? you start to wonder if, maybe you should just give it up and pursue
other interests. This is the point I was at, before discovering this wonderful place...!!!
I look forward to picking up my guitar these days. To sit down, and hit that "Record button"
and see what I can come up with... And for this, I have you to thank...!!!
Thank you...!!!
Ben

Well Nocat, I for one am glad you got past that point of giving it up, because that would have been a shame, your good. Love that song and you hit it right on.

Hey, make way for Nocat, Derek and the Dominos.
I was listening to that opening lick the other day. I have an Eric Clapton Easy Guitar book (though it's hardly easy). He says he's really proud of that tune and that lick. I can see why. Nice job cat! I've been out of town and just getting caught up on all my listening tonight!

Hey Ben
Well done Sir!
A great tune to cover indeed. I am inspired to have a crack at that one now.
All the best

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
