Maybe just one more.

Probably rushing the season a bit here but thought I would offer this one that I'm trying to get polished up before the next Christmas season. Some clinkers still need to be eliminated for sure and I think it should be played slower, but gotta save bandwidth you know.

Thanks all.

Keith, About the only audience I have or have ever had is just family and then some friends I occasionally jam with. I have played at church before but my style of playing is, shall we say, a little off center. But those around where I live here in a small town in Arkansas, who hear me play seem to enjoy it. That sure baffles me. I really do like playing the guitar.

I encourage all beginners to work hard at squeezing through the narrow place you will find very soon after you start down the road of learning to play the guitar. Eventually you will come out the other side and hear the music in your head and feel it flow out your fingertips. Then the fun begins.

Beautiful song....beautifully done!

Do you, by chance, have a tab for it? (Sorry, had to ask)

Thanks,

Tom C

Cool   Downright

spiritual that was. Nice tempo and feel. Made me want to rush out and buy Christmas presents, which actually defeats the purpose of the song. I fought the urge!

Thanks again all. I'll be 67 soon and have been playing on and off--mostly off-- since I was a teenager. I retired in 1999 and to fill up my time I started playing music more often. I bought a better guitar, a Takamine, which sounded really good to me when I tried it. Even better that a Taylor I tried at the same time. I know that if I had tried a different takamine and a different taylor, just the opposite may have happened.

Ageing takes away the playing speed and dexterity but not the love of playing, nor the appreciation for the encouragement I get.

Someone asked about tabs for my songs. Sorry. I don't do tabs. Actually I had never heard about the tablature method of music notation until just a few years ago. Ignorance was/is bliss.

Thanks anyway (about the tabs). I didn't hear about tabs until about a year ago either, but I wish they had been around 35 years ago, along with the support of communities such as this one.

Sorry for the questions, but how did you learn the song? The reason I ask, is, it sounds as if you made your own arrangement.

Again, beautiful song, beautifully done! Thank you for posting it.
(By the way.....standard notation is ok as well )
