Georgia on my resonator

This is a take on one of my all time favorites, Georgia. I played the chords on my old Gibson J-50 and overdubbed the melody on my resonator. Hope you enjoy it!

Woahhh! Now I don't know which I like better, this one or your vocal take.

Love 'em both and I've always loved this song. Any chance of posting the chords?

Thanks John, tcliff ...

Yes, sure ... it's my own arrangement, so I don't see any problem. I did tab them out once, I'll see if I can find the file.

A brief outline of the basic chords would be fine Kirk. I just wanted to have a bit of a try at that basic rhythm. Don't go to too much trouble if you can't find it, easily Thx.

Very cool way of expressing lirical emotion using an instrument Kirk...!!!

This is similar to what I'm trying to do, with not nearly as much success...
I don't know if it's the choice of notes or the little accents that dance around them,
or maybe the choice of instrument hat makes for a convincing sounding melody line,
but you are able to make it sound great...!!!

Smooth as a Georgia peach. I could hear echoes of Ray Charles belting it out in some part of my memory that stores melodies. You certainly set the bar for this forum Kirk!

That was absolutly beautiful. "Georgia on my mind" is one of my most favourite songs ever written, and that was a dream to hear from a guitarists perspective. Congratulations!

Any word on the chords? I would love to be able to play that version!
