Sentimental over You
I fished this mp3 out of the folder today ... thought you all might like to listen. This is a great old tune called "I'm feeling sentimental over you" ... from the average age of this forum many of you will recognize the great melody.
This was a sort of test when I bought my new mic a couple of years ago. It's my old Gibson J-50 on rhythm and the slide melody played on my Michael Palm resonator. It almost takes on a muted trumpet sound. I found listening with fresh ears that the track captures something of that era ... hope you like it.

Masterfully done..!!!
All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

my dad was a big band freak, i grew up with it and still like big bands, have a lot of big band albums, and yes that does sound more like a trumpet than slide guitar

Quite superb. The 'trumpet' is very appropriate to the song.

WOW! I thought you had either a brass player or a synth for a second. Man that resonator really does put out on a trumpet sound. Its a really nice matchup of the sounds/tones -definately some "era" there!

Another great one! You really have mojo on that reso guitar. It kinda has trombone sound with the high notes of a trumpet. You could never get that type of mojo with a trumpet. Maybe a bone, but the slide is wonderful!
