Inappropriate
Well, this was a Sunday afternoon!! I was feeling a bit lackadaisical so I thought I'd experiment. Here we have the fruits of my labours. I whipped out the slide, and the minimoog VSTi and bigged it up! Everything including the kitchen sink!
Take it with a pinch of salt please.

sounds like the kitchen sink was turned completely on and your musical genius was in full gear I like the variation of the country picking, like the backyard well was being primed and suddenly a countryboy's guitar's picking was splashing out of the well with such flavorable country pick'n , time for a replay

I probably never listen to how other songwriters write their songs, I just write on using my own imagination. windsong

Hello Ian...
Another great tune, congratulations !That was a pleasure to listen to...I haven't heard all of your songs since I am only about three months on the forum, but allow me to say that this is the best recording of yours so far.The recording and all the effects mixed together harmonically, gave the song a professional touch...You are right to feel more and more confident.Keep up the good work and the songs coming...
All the best,
Theo

Thanks Theo, it did work out well for a throwaway Sunday afternoon song didn't it? Thanks for listening.
Ian
By the way, apart from the drum machine, everything was recorded 'live' and the best part was the 5 minutes I spent on the vocals, a change from the 8 hours I did yesterday!!

Thanks Matt, I liked the clean guitar amongst all the confusion too, it seemed to fit. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks, yes it was indeed something! I'm not sure what though, but I like it.
When I joined GFB&B last year, I posted this;
the first thing I recorded on a computer
and 'Inappropriate' seems to be part 2 of that.
I really thought that my recordings would be all noodling and weedly weedly, but as I've progressed with recording, I've found that I'm concentrating on songs which has been really rewarding.
Thanks again, (to everyone) for all the support.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
