Leaning Toward the Dark Side

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been on the road too much with work.

Here's my musical battle between playing acoustic guitar and/or electric guitar.

Rockerbob,
Your tunes are just too cool. The start reminded me of 'Working in a Goldmine' but before long just headed off in a totally different direction. If you you ask me the electric wins, but only by a nose. Great stuff.

Awesome. Not enough to make me hang up the acoustic, but tempting!
Some of the licks reminded me of an old Zombies song, She's Not There.
Funny thing, every time I hear an experienced guitar player, I feel bummed out at how little progress I'm making and how long it will take to get that good. If ever. I recently saw a Pink Floyd cover band and the guitarist was just too damn good. But then he played Mother and Wish You Were Here on acoustic and I thought, hey, I can do that (one day) and so I soldier on. Love your tunes Rocker Bob and I was singing that Would You Like to Play Guitar song of yours the other day and smiling all the while. Keep posting brother!

Thanks folks!

Yes, the Zombies are in there for sure.

I record with Digital Performer on a Mac. Acoustic guitars are recorded with an AKG C414 mic. Electric guitars are recorded with a Line6 POD Pro.

Thanks for listening!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
