Here's one of my favorite Hank Williams Jr songs that I just finished recording a first take on.

Doing great. Read the thread on singing tips to give you a bit more vocal control. You have a great voice with lots of potential.

Nice recording Maddog, this is a good song too, you didn't sound like you were struggling going higher that was a fine job, you've achieved a lot in a short time, I take my hat off to you, very cool

You know, sometimes I wonder if someone listens to a recording and says, "Man that sucked eggs!" --but they're too nice to say it so they dont post anything at all LOL

Either way I'm having fun, and I appreciate any feedback as I really am hoping to improve if only for myself. My wife can really belt out some tunes, but I can't get her to record with me just yet....she's bashful I think

Thanks guys for all the nice words. And thank you Allthumbs...I'll check out that thread if I can find it.

If it sucked eggs there are people here who would tell you, though much more politely than that!
Lovely song very well played and sung and you nailed those high notes!

I probably never listen to how other songwriters write their songs, I just write on using my own imagination. windsong
