Commander Cody cover

Just posted a couple pics of a new Guild gittar over in the gear forum. Recorded a couple tunes with it to see how she sounds mic'ed. This one turned out ok, the gittar sounds to me like it's voiced in a way that sounds a little better for my vocal range than my other two, and that's one of the things I was lookin' for.

Heart wrencher tune here, 'bout a man that's lost everything...best get yerself a glass of beer to cry into, lol.

Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen cover....

I like the gravel-ly tone to your voice.
Perfect for Country and those "Talking - Story" songs.

Ya know the proper way to say it is 'my dog up and died'. Despite that lapse, nice going.

I thank ya for listening to it, johnny.
I left out the chorus, too, 'cause I couldn't remember it, lol.

The original was done in C, but I did it in A. It is very possible that I have never done a song, recorded or not, where I got all the words right. I'm cuffing it about half the time...

Got to thinkin' 'bout it, and "my dog up and died" didn't click with me so I hunted the lyrics down on the internet.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
