This one is originally Dave Matthews Band, also covered by Willie Nelson. Mine is somewhat a mixture of both and a little of my own style. I'm still playing around with a computer mic so there are a couple pops in there...and not to make excuses, but I finally finished this thing at about 1:30 am, so dont be too harsh ROFL

Nice one Maddog, not the easiest song to sing, you're getting quite a good sound from that little Mic, I haven't heard that song before Maddog liked the lyrics and you played it well, staying up late seems to go with recording, you're doing a great job

Thank you all for the kind words. I can definitely see a revised version in the works at least for the vocals if not the bridge part as well, but I threw it on here anyway. Finally have an actual microphone on the way, just a cheap radioshack model I won on ebay, but anything is better than what I've got now.

And a big THANK YOU to Eddie for the kick in the backside helping me figure out how to do the vocals over the music! That really helped to get the effects on the guitar part without getting reverb/chorus on the vocals as well.

I couldnt begin to explain why or how this song "pulled me in"

It seems a bit on the darkside, but the tune just stays in my head constantly. I hoped by recording that I could move on to something else LOL. I dont know too many DMB songs, so I'm listening to some others now.

Its kinda tricky to get the timing down, but I've been doing nothing but after playing nothing but that song for a couple days or so, it just all fell together. It was pretty much a one shot deal on the vocals and about 5 or 6 takes on the guitar(kept screwing up the bridge so I dumped it and improved my own in there LOL)

Nice job - I especially liked the fullness of the guitar parts. I've heard Willie's version many times. Not your simple verse-verse-chorus song.
