Johnny Santana?

Um - hardly, maybe the vocals. Not my usual country crooning.

Anyway here's a medley of two Santana songs and one other.
Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, and Unchain My Heart.

The percussion is something innovative.
Our deck railings are not milled wood, they're logs of about 3 inch diameter. They are inserted into vertical logs of larger diameter.
This gives the railings a drumlike effect. Where there's a knot it is a higher tone than where there is not a knot.

So I went out this AM before the wind came up and played on a railing like a conga drum, and recorded it. You can even hear the birds singing in the background.

Click on 'Evil Ways...' at this site.

Also I've added a couple others since my last post, so have a go at them if it strikes your fancy.

Thanks for listening.

Lily Mai was in here when I was playing Singin' the Blues she really responds to music which is great, she's sitting up on her own nearly so it won't be long before she can hold a guitar

I probably never listen to how other songwriters write their songs, I just write on using my own imagination. windsong
