I might just have to buy this Sage Metallic Strat off my friend who's selling it. It's quite gorgeous, perfect neck. I gave it a little workout on this great old tune:
Yet again great playing Kirk!Beautiful and relaxing melody, poetry to my ears...What can one really say about your playing?I can't find the words...Keep them coming!!...By the way,the metallic strat is a beauty!!
Sincerelly yours,
Theo

That was a great version on that tune. Loved it.
Guitar sounds great, but Kirk, I think if it were nothing more than a shoe box with strings you could make it sing.
Nothin sweeter than the sound of music comin out of a 6 string box - EZ me Music / ASCAP
Thanks, everyone. With a tune like that, how can you go wrong?
Yes, it's a beautiful guitar, very heavy. Must be dense wood and I think it's glassy tone comes from that. I recorded this through a Digitech, straight into the PC, so it's a featureless sound compared to what it sounds like coming out of an amp. I also used headphones throughout and when I finally plugged the speakers in, there was a big booming bass frequency coming out shaking the windows. And what had I done with the raw files? Deleted them, idiot that I am. I had to take bass off the whole track to make it usable, which made it all sound nasally and brittle.
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
