A second recording

After being inspired by RockerBob the other night in the chat room, I sat down recorded this with my acoustic last night. Earlier yesterday, I had my dead strings put to rest and a new set of Elixer's put on. So far I love the strings!

Anyway, keep in mind this is all done with a $1.99 desktop mic. I've also refrained from any effects because I had to record the guitar and vocals simultaneously because I'm too lazy to download and learn a new program right now.

Without further adieu (is that even spelled right? LOL)

EDIT: sorry, link didn't work. I'll have to find another host

Maddog,
That was pretty good. Does look like your gonna need a bigger mic.
A little quiet on my system. Your on your way.

Nice job, Maddog. Pretty low volume on my system too, a better mic would definitely help. Great job on the song itself, though!

Thank you all for listening and the nice feedback. I checked out a mic last night, a Nady SP-1 that sells for around $10 and from reviews is actually comparable to an SM-58. I might just go pick it up today and try it to see what happens. If nothing else I get an upgraded computer mic(or I take it back and stop for an ice cream on the way home LOL)

Thanks again

Maddog

Thanks again everyone! I really appreciate the kind words. Even with the basically bare bone set up I have, I'm inspired to keep recording...now I need to come up with some more songs and quit messing them up about 2-3 minutes into it

Well done! Great job on the vocals and a nice base you're working up on the guitar-playing. Lots to build from there.

Thanks Chris. I thought the vocals we're ruining it actually, but from what I've heard it always sounds strange when you're listening to yourself.
