Country Gospel

An old gospel tune written and performed by the late Hank Williams.

Me and my cuz sang this song in church when we was both young'uns in Arkansas, both of us about 10 or 11 years old. My ma backed us on piano.

Ya don't hear a lot of gospel music these days, but I always kinda dug it. Ain't gotta be a goody 2 shoes to dig the music....

Recorded this tune on my back porch on a Boss Micro BR, watchin' a rain storm...

Just simple chording and singin'.

Really nice song, Peyden. Sounds like you are getting a little more familiar with your new guitar.

What are you saying before the song starts...keep the mutt from barking?

I appreciate yer listens. Been havin' some fun with country and gospel stuff of late, ever since I bought a new acoustic gittar...may do some more of it, but will probably practice a tune a little more before I record it. Missed a few words in this tune and left out a whole verse 'cause I couldn't remember it. Stummin' patterns need some work, too, some of 'em didn't fit in with the song, at least to my way of thinkin'. It's a lot different than playin' electric, fer sure.

Lisa, there is a little white terrier dog at my house that likes to harmonize. I don't like for him to butt in 'cause he sounds better than I do, lol.

nicely strummed astratslinger, there was a noticeable hiss which spoiled it a bit, but I enjoyed your song anyway.

I thought it was the rain makin' that noise, but I recorded another one early this mornin' and the hiss is on it, too. And it ain't rainin'. Not sure what it is.
