Champ600 Blues

Relaxing from studying for finals...playing along with some BT's.

Tele into a Champ 600, mic'ed with a Shure SM57 onto Audacity. No effects.

Love those Duncan Antiquities!

That Champ really breaks up. Much more so than my Epi Valve Jr. Nice play'n. It had a lot of feeling put into it.

The spaces between phrases speak as loudly as the notes themselves. Not everyone grasps this concept, and I think that you do it by feel, not by design.

Very, very sweet, Lisa.

Thanks, fly!
It seems as if it's "broken in" now, and I think it sounds better than when it was new. It didn't break up as easily during the first 6 months. I considered the Mercury upgrade, but I understand that the finished product is very loud...not what I had in mind when I got a 5 watt amp. I'm really pleased with it's tone and simplicity.

Comparing the two, I think the Epi sounds better with 'buckers, and the Champ sounds better with single coils...to my ears, anyway. Both are great little amps.
