Just some memories
Hello all. I've been away so long I feel like I should re-introduce myself. I've been a lurker at times but I got a bone bruise on one of my fretting fingers that has pretty much shut my guitar playing down. It's feeling some better lately and actually I'm on the program at church tomorrow for the first time in a long while. Hope I can stand the pain.
Anyway, I thought I would share a memory from the past here at GFB. It was a virtual jam with Kirk on slide we did a year or so ago. It's the bottom one here.

(Edit) I'm thinking this link may not work. Sorry if it doesn't come up. Maybe this URL will work

If not, I'm done.

Hi Chammon, The link worked fine, nice playing there, I haven't heard that before and it was good to hear it, sorry to hear about your injury but pleased to hear it's getting better, good luck playing at Church today and I hope it isn't causing you too much pain.

Thanks for the comments. It went well for me yesterday. My selection was well received and the finger wasn't much trouble at all.

Chammon ... how nice to hear from you. I was just saying to Clancy this morning that you seemed to have disappeared. I'm glad you're back and I do hope you can get back into your uniquely wonderful way of playing guitar soon.

Thank you Kirk. It has been a privilege to have been a member of this amazingly successful forum that you and Clancy have created for all us beginners and beyond twangers.
BTW, I still get into the Plane Talk material when I can and when my youngest son Cordell (the shredder) hasn't made off with it.

Hi Chammon, I just heard you virtual jam with kirk and really liked it. Are you using finger picks? I was reminded of the desert southwest in the USA when I heard ya'll play. Nowadays I try to feel what others are trying to say when they improvise. Is that what you had in mind?

Keep the memories coming Chammon!
You have one of the most unique playing styles I've heard here, and I love to hear your tunes.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
