Rooster Rules The Roost

Its been a while since I put anything together (too much work, building a new business, getting married, building a house etc). I know excuses but I am sure you have all been there at some point.

Anyway today I had a few hours to kill and picked up my guitar, I wanted to learn the Run DMC "Walk this Way" riff. Well I failed but I used elements of that and the fact I was watching a nature program in the discovery channel to come up with this. The tone idea I got from the DVD series I watched recently "My Name is Earl", if you have seen it you will know the annoying Kazoo at the intro. The tune is my interpretation of a rooster "Cock Off" to find the boss. The slightly different effects are using my pod x3 live and switching between different stomps available to me.

I hope you enjoy!

Chris,
I agree that that was pretty good. I think its one of your best recordings and far as the sound goes.

Hey Krissovo, that rocked! And I'll have to say you nailed the "Rooster Tone". Good work on the vibrato. I can't seem to make much headway on the finger shake.

Thanks lads, great comments. I am enjoying myself and playing in band helps heaps!

I just wish I could get away from power chords, 3 chord songs and scales. No matter what I try and come up with I always end up back in my comfort zone. Oh well time to write a guitar playing plan.......& stick to it!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
