  Best way to record

Hi all

Not that I am REALLY ready for this yet

But what is the best way of putting your attempts on the computer

I have an Athlon 64 3000+ with 1 gig of DDR and an ancient Soundblaster Live 5.1 soundcard
Had to save somewhere

I have a reasonable mike I can use if a mike is the easiest way

Whats the tricks then

And what's the best software ??
