More rehearsal room music

A short piece from some stuff we did in the rehearsal rooms the other day.

These are not written tunes, we just turn up and jam til we find something we enjoy playing. We will be working on this tune as we go as well seemed to enjoy it, I already added a few parts that I think sound ok to go along with this will try them out on Sunday.

I was thinking about playing it in the old 'jazz noodle' style.

ie let one part sort of go on for a bit while we noodle over it, then move to other parts and noodle over them for a bit.

If you fancy noodling over it. The notes are not that odd but i am not certain what you would play in scale terms, as to chords, there aren't any, so don't know how you play over this if you are chord tone man.

It has a droning D but i am not soo sure it is in D.

From what I can gather, it is probably in A Major So possibly F# minor would work.

Bass is playing D E C A if that helps at all, but these are harmonies I believe of what i am playing rather then root notes.

See how you go, I not tried playing over it myself yet, not had the chance.

Fong,

I can just barely hear in in the background. The drums are too much up front. Meaning that what I hear the most.
If this is on one track, then I guess you won't be able to change it.

Yeah i have had this row with him before. It seems we struggle to get ourselves loud enough to be heard over the drums.

I actually thought this balance wasn't too bad to be honest.

Will try again when we in Sunday and just ramp me and the Bass player up. I got a few ideas to add to this piece anyway, so hopefully we can get a fully recorded version and I can stick up here and get some feedback.
