'Yune'
I was trying out the pick-up on my guitar, I have no speakers so I have to record and listen to the playback,
I sent it to Yvie and she really liked it so I thought I'd post it, it's a bit repetitive but it has a nice peaceful quality and anyway it was meant to be just noodling.
Also, when I sent it to Yvie I meant to call it 'Tune' but mistyped and called it 'Yune', so I just left it.
Hope you like it.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Jomi,
If that's just noodling....where's the album? WOW! I could listen to that all night. The verb simply feels like I'm sitting right in the auditorium, mid row. Very nice. Very renaissance.

That's one to use for opening your sets at the pub someday! Excellent stuff as always. That is one nice pickup system you've got there, very natural and warm sounding.

Beautifully done John, I think that Yune seems to fit the etheral quality and feel of the piece. I would love to be able to "noodle" like that...

Thanks a lot Eddie, it's quite a simple tune really, in dropped D.
Thanks RB I'm really pleased you thought it sounded acoustic - that's what I was striving for with the pick up.
Thank you Andrew I love this guitar, it's a joy to play.
Thanks Kenny
John, thank you for you comments, the area where I live is a bit rough, but right on my doorstep is the Durham dales, and a little further (about 1 hours drive) is the lake district, both are beautiful .
Thanks a lot for those lovely comments Les, It's really a simple tune in dropped D, mainly two fingered chords!
Aunt Doty, thank you Yes, sorry about the title, it's a wee bit numb, when I played it I was thinking much more about tone than the tune itself.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Thanks Tom The pick up is called Fishman Rare Earth, I don't know anything about it, it was fitted to the guitar when I bought it. It's plugged into the preamp, there were no other mics. There's a little control on it, I was trying to find what this did - turns out it's just a volume control but it does seem to effect tone.
Thanks Mattz, ok I admit I tidied it up a bit before I posted - hiss removal, a bit of reverb and I trimmed the beginning and end. Apart from G and D it's pretty much all just two fingered chords in dropped D.
Thanks a lot You Too, glad you enjoyed it
Thank you Windsong
Chris, thank you, I'm still hungry for 'that day' but still far too scared!!!
Thank you Knight It's a genuinely simple tune in dropped D, glad you enjoyed it though.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
