Over the Hills and (not far enough) Away

Hey folks,
Been a long while since I had time to post anything here. Had some time during the holidays and tried a sloppy, choppy and shortened version of a great Zeppelin tune that's really out of my current skill range.

Although it doesn't come across here, it's a fun tune to play and worth learning for those who have the hammer on and pull off skills.

Don't know if this works, but I'll try posting a link to the video on my soundclick page.

No problemo. You just go to your page... click account.. then a menu pops up with options.. go to page design.. you can change a few things.. one of them is a background picture...
And I was fishing for trout up in northern Ontario, but I didn't have one on the line just mugging for the cameras!

Hey Eddie,
I used the built in camera and mic on my Mac laptop using the Mac's iMovie program. Then I exported the 12 megabyte file down to a 1.5 megabyte QuickTime movie.

Thanks for giving it a listen, and Tom too!

Nice job, Todd
That's one on the list to learn to play- think you may have provided the inspiration to get moving on it....

Thanks for listening Jomi, nowhere-man (please listen you don't know what you're missing) Chris, and Knight...

The Santa hat was my seasonal look.

And Chris, if you want to be inspired to learn this tune, try watching Jimmy and the boys play it!

Thanks for the link- it surprised me how simple the tune is- never would have taken it for a basically a 3 chord tune.

Nice work CT. You should try recording while shooting and then replace the camera audio with your recorded version. The hat was a nice touch.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
