Piano SlideN

Well I do luv this slide stuff but, my pinkie finger needs to go to the gym and work up some muscle, it feels as tho its bouncing a little at rest. That and learning more steady/consistant control with the attack from my thumb. After I get a grip on those mechanics then it will be time to add the non-slide single notes to my playing. Of course I still need work on tone and timing and ...and... and...

Cool.. was that you on piano too? Slide adds a dramatic tone.. like something bad happened.. or is about to...

Thanks Todd, I just do the chord changes and the keyboard does the rest. Yeah I love the sound of slide, can't wait till I get further down the road with it.

It is very cool, I am looking forward to giving slide a go. How are you getting along Kenny (Even if the pinky is a bit tired)?

Hi Kriss, Thanks! Luving it says it all. Kirks DVD has so much to offer that I had to put the brakes on a little. Right now being as this is all so very new to me, I'm concentrating on mainly making clear sounds. Trying to mute properly and learn the fretboard in drop D tuning{not that hard but still, this is me we're talking about}

You're gonna luv it Kriss and I'll be waiting to hear you when you get going.

Thanks Tom, yep...done with one of Kirks custom slides that I got when I ordered his DVD lesson on playing slide. This was done on the low 3 strings only, the D,A&D using standard tuning but with the low E dropped to D. I was using one of the presets in guitar rig 1 for the effects, this is something I'm enjoying as well...discovering new tones.

Thanks Chris, its the great support here that keeps it easy

I'm scared now!! I had to take a look round to see what monster was coming to get me!!
Very different X4, I enjoyed that, in particular the lovely piano playing

When all else fails, read the instructions.
