Sleepwalk
I just love this tune, but never got around to learning it until this weekend. I still want to smooth out a few parts - try for more mojo, but it's coming together. This is my quick take on the classic Santo and Johnny tune from the '50s, "Sleepwalk." I will try to get my friend Carl to play bass. I think I do OK, but Carl is amazing.
Tracks are:
Collings OM3C acoustic guitar
Modulus VJ bass
'50s Electro lapsteel
digital drums
Sleepwalk - Rockerbob

No one can master every aspect of guitar playing, they just get better everyday.

Wow that sounds fantastic great job! I do a version of that too (not slide though... ) I've not been playing long, but I learned Brian Setzer's version of it, if any of you have heard it... I think I'll start on recording that

I shared that with my Mom and she closed her eyes to listen to it.
You are too cool RockerBob.

My brother had a band that did this one -actually its a nice set of chords just to jam along with.
We've been messing with "Come Go With Me" Same era -doo wop
Anyway, nice slide work! I'll have to post this one at Cabe's -got a few slide freaks there.
Thanks!
And thanks for helping other users with advice too!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
