Pink Fingers

After a period of absolute laziness, this forum has really woken me up. I recorded this this afternoon. Everything is first take, (I'm still lazy). It came from reading that Kirk likes people who play guitar with their fingers. So here we have Pink Fingers. The vocals are terrible for three reasons; I can't sing loud in my apartment, my mic is crappy and I've got a terrible voice!
I know it's far from finished, there are two verses to go in there, but it's the most work I've done in months.
Thanks to all who've taken the time to encourage me.

Ian

Ian, I absolutely love this! If I lived in the apartment next to you, I might ask you to turn the volume up not down! Great playing and your voice is fine! Please finish this piece encouraged!

Well Ian,
Your vocals are just fine. Pretty nice jive.

Awesome! +1 on Krissovo's comment about the tone. I expect we'll be hearing lots of great stuff from you in the future now that you've got your recording mojo up to speed.

Ian - This was really good. You're too hard on your vocals. I enjoyed the whole thing, especially the guitar playing.

Hi fly,(and Todd) I was wondering, since this song was written and recorded in less than an hour,(albeit in it's unfinished state) if I could maybe post a thread in the songwriting section. I thought it may be of interest to aspiring songwriters how my thought process works. does that sound arrogant? After all, I'm an aspiring songwriter myself, it's just that everyone on this post likes the song, which is fantastic. What do you,(or anyone else reading this) think?

I think it's a great idea whenever someone gives details about their recording equip, techniques, etc...

Very enjoyable song very nicely played and recorded. I agree with what's already been said about the vocals - don't be so hard on yourself. Written AND recorded in less than an hour?? amazing!

When all else fails, read the instructions.

Sounds like a good idea for the songwriters forum. Go for it.
