Coming Home(Dallas Green Cover)

eXperiment63's Music | Ultimate-Guitar.Com

Link to the cover... First time I've uploaded a full song of me playin and singing. I know I messed up at a couple places, but I don't think it's bad for a first run of the song considering I'm a noob at playing, and singing lmao.

Lemme know what ya think.

You have a good and confident voice Experiment but I think you maybe needed to be a little closer to the mike. The guitar sounded louder than you if you see what I mean.

Anyways, well done and I enjoyed it.

I can't get any closer to the mic. I'm only using a cheapo pc mic to record. It picks up a ton of noise if you're too close. It's about 15" from me, any closer it will pick up all my breathing and stuff. It's also why I can't really get a good recording of my acoustic either. At some point, when my skill level justifies blowing money on things, I'll get good recording gear.

Thank the both of you for your votes of confidence. =)

Yup, it has that exact rhythm. He does a few more riffs in there. Maybe 3 more through the song. I just did the two(one at the start of the base rhythm both times). Since I never practice at guitar, I screw up when I try to play the riffs in between the chords,

This is def. a song that I will be practicing so I can record a good version once I get some recording gear.

Here is a little snippet of the intro, more true to form. Except I added my own little riff(based off the original riff) in there instead of playing the E chord. Yes I know I flubbed a couple notes in the riff. My playing is crap lmao, and the guitar I'm playing on is crap with damn near no fret left. It's from the 50s or 60s.

(If this little piece of the intro is against the TOS, sorry mods(it's like 35 seconds. Just let me know and I'll remove it)).

Nice work eX. It actually sounded pretty good for a cheap comp mic.

No problem EX. The lawyers haven't figured out how to copy right chord progressions ....yet.

Very nice singing and playing, for using a 'cheapo' mic I think you did a great job
