A little finger pickin'
There's been a few threads here lately about finger pickin', whether to use picks or not and the general health and well being of finger nails.
No picks where harmed in the making of this file! The clicking in the background is a little knee slapping groove!
I started horsing around tonight and with a little help from my 6 year old Grandson, we put this together. It's only 45 seconds, but it was fun to do and maybe will inspire a finger picker or two.

Hehe! The hazards of a recording studio in the family room ....
By the way, the tune is Victory Rag. It's played in the Doc Watson style. ( though no where near Doc's class. ) If anyone is interested in learning this one, here's a tab I found for it.

Enjoy!

Very nice! I've seen Doc Watson in concert a few times, though the last time was many years ago. These were small venues and I remember one time sitting only a yard or two away from him. He always had his son (Merle?) playing with him.

That sounded great Les! The little laugh in the end just topped it off. Thanks for posting.

A real pleasure to listen to Les. Your grandson sure is lucky to have a fun grandpa like you.
Will you be posting more of the same soon?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
