So It Is - Original
So, I posted some lyrics a few days back and some folks have encouraged me to give get a recording of how the lyrics sound musically out here.
I hesitate to do this, as I don't have my Breedlove back from the shop, and because my Presonus is popping and cracking due some kind of problem interfacing with the Mac.
I've recorded the first verse and the chorus. I have another verse and bridge ready to go. I recorded the harmonies myself, but I hope to have my friend Claire add her voice in the future.
The chording is horrible, as this old Gibson is incredible difficult to play at times, but here it is....enough excuses already...

Todd, It's not enough to say beautiful, textural and lovely and interesting, it's better than that. Love the harmony, the breedlove will be back soon dont worry just keep putting work out, secular or otherwise

I thought that turned out REALLY really well - great job!
I'd love to put something like that together some day.

That breeds love without the breedlove...sweet little taste there Todd, looking forward to more of it.

Starsailor, Smort, Shawie, pamelody, X4string, tomg123, skinnybloke, Dad, Jomi, and knight46:
Thank you for taking the time to listen. I'm glad that you liked it, and I truly can't wait to get my guitar back so I can offer up the second verse and bridge to get your feedback as well. This song really gets stuck in your head. My wife and my kids have been walking around singing it without thinking about it. That's potentially a good sign
Rockerbob,
Thank you for compliment on the vocal side. I hope I can play the song more cleanly on my Breedlove. If not, maybe we can collaborate and I have you play some of the instrumentation and I'll add a vocal!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
