Em spirits
Well i think my next recording will be a bit livier, this is real mellow.
Did two solo parts that worked together well, and they are mostly
appeggio's right from the chords....which are 022000, XX0987,
XX0232, Dsus4, XX0565. There's acoustic, acoustic electric
flute recorder, and some vocal. You may find it
to long unless your in an altered state

Tom,
That was interesting. May have been to the gloom side, however the music and playing including vocals was clean. I think it was a very well done project.

Tom
Nice work mate I like this a lot ...
I just was watching the Ghost Whisperer and thought your piece would be a great song when thinking of "crossing over " and all ...
Cheers

Well played and sung. I didn't find it overly gloomy, I thought it had a kind of a peaceful flowing sound. Sounded bright to me more major than minor.

Whoa- psychedelic dude.
I must say that I'm very impressed with the quality of your recording and mixing lately, Tom. Everything sounds great (and it seems that your playing improves with every song as well).

Very pleasing mellow song. +1 on cshude's comment about the recording quality. I'd say you're moving up!

Thanks folks, its the urging of the folks here, such as fly that lead
me toward better recording devices . It did have a gloomy sound i
guess, but overall it could be seen as peaceful. I discover chords
and then try to do something with them right away sometimes, this
is an example of that

'Moving up, through the clouds' immediately made me think of a soaring bird, like an eagle, and the tune lent itself very nicely to that image, very serene and peaceful. I enjoyed it all the way through and didn't need to be in an 'altered state'
When all else fails, read the instructions.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
