I know this is very amateurish but I mainly wanted to see if I could actually use my sound recorder and put a recording on the forum.
It will very well help some just starting out to realize they aren't doing as bad as they might think.
If nothing else it should cause a few smiles, that is if the recording attachment is even on here, I don't know but I think it is.

Yes the attachment is here. I've always loved that song. Marty Robbins was a great musician. And you did just fine!

Thanks for sharing!

wcostley, came through fine and sounded fine, nice playing.

Although the copywrite thingy here will probably apply even though its only a small clip. Have you looked into soundclick? Its very easy to use to post/host covers.

After reading you post I searched out soundclick, I really didn't understand what it's all about or why it would be better to use than the way I did it, at my age I get confused easily with computer stuff, plus I don't even know what host covers means, I'll go on there again tomorrow and see if I can make heads or tales of what it's all about.

Sorry Skip. I hate to do it but I had to take the tune out. You did a fine job of it though. If you need help getting it hosted somewhere else just ask for help. X4 has a good link in his post that might help you out.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
