Great job pwg, nice clear recording and great playing. Vocals were very good and the lap steel was a nice touch.

Thanks allthumbs and everyone. the rick has the original pickup. it's about the size of a big mac. the whole instrument is a wild, mildly microphonic lump of bakelite or something and it just howls at high distortion. I'll post another with a rock version of the sound later. Increadibke noise

I think that was great Phil. I hope you don't mind but it sounded very 'Crosby Stills and Nash' to me . A great period in music and well done.

The vocal sounds great to me Phil. Just can't imagine what you hate about it. The production, the song, the entire thing is just top notch IMO.
Looking forward to hearing more.

Brilliant, Phil. I heard it last night on little speakers and I was blown away. On big speakers it's just fantastic. Great song and it's absolutely dripping with feel and vibe. Inspiring, to say the least.
Say hi to the boys for me.

Thanks again, Clancy. It's just that I know what it should sound like and it doesn't. But I'll fix it and then be happy .
Kaj -- thanks -- I love Crosby Stills and Nash -- Down is very much a "west coast sound" that fell out of one of my baby Taylors when i dropped d.

That was phenomenal all-around! Excellent playing from everyone- and I think your vocals were great. The background harmonies may be my favorite part of the whole thing- just brings out that little extra in the song.
