Improv

This is my first post on here. I've been playing guitar for a little over 2yrs. I really like improvising when I can so I thought I'de post a couple of improvisations I've done. When I recorded these I only had Windows Recorder so they are short and the sound is kinda crappy but enjoy anyway.

Excellent! Beautiful melodies. You sound like a Jeff Beck fan...?

Thank you Kirk and Nagukush your feedback is greatly appreciated.

By the way Kirk, I really liked the chromatic Django Style run in your Summertime lesson. Django is my favourite musician, can you do any lessons on his songs? I know they are fairly advanced but it will give us all something to aspire to.

Thanks again
Julian

Django is in a class of his own, isn't he? He's an unbelieveable musician. There are several players out there these days who can get pretty close to his technique, but of course he invented it.

I'll have a think about a lesson

I think Django's 'Tears' would be quite a good lesson. There's quite a few versions but it sounds like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...520051-8618038

Huh? Comes up with an error warning 'can't find file' when I click on that title 'Tears'.

Thanks Everybody!

As for the file, its a RealPlayer Presentation file so if you don't have Realplayer it won't work.

Allthumbs I just noticed you were from Ontario, Canada, what city do you live in? I'm originally from Sarnia, Ontario but just recently moved to Chicago, IL.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
