That wasn't tabbed. Sid was doing improv over a backtrack doing one complete take with no edits. It is a great indicator of where you are in your skill level. Improv makes you use everything you have learned. Great work Sid.

Get your basics down. You need to be comfortable with bar chords. You need to be able to play a couple of tunes and feel somewhat comfortable playing in various positions on the neck. When you can do all that then buy Kirks' materials on Plane Talk and it will teach you how to improv as well as knowing the fretboard like the back of your hand among many other things. Take your time here. If you get into P.T. before you have your basics down, it can be very frustrating.

Please be kind with me as i have no other oppurtunity of learning anywhere else than this. This has been my dream come true and i'm very inqusitive about learning the guitar in the right way, I'm Sorry again.

No, it's all good. I was just pointing out that the idea of this forum is to share info so all questions regarding guitar should be asked on the forum so all our members can benefit from the answers. It is standard behaviour for mods to steer members back to the forum with those kind of questions, nothing personal Kush. Not mad at you at all. Just doing my job.

Wow Sid, if that's noodling I can't wait to hear you when you're serious!!
That's good enough to release. Hope I can follow in your Footsteps one day.
Very enjoyable, and inspirational.

That's great stuff Sid!! Congratulations, your playing is sounding really good. Thanks for posting that.
But here's a question for you, would you be willing to post video of you landing a Boeing 737 like Kirk did here - http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/fo...ead.php?t=1573 and get a critique from a real pilot?? hehe.

Thanks, Clancy.
I don't have any video equipment. There are programs that will record whatever is being displayed on your screen, but the files they produce are enormous. Anyway, 737blues has already certified me on the 727.

Nagukush, thanks for the kind words. I like the two songs you posted. In fact, I'd rather listen to you than to Celine. As Allthumbs has already pointed out, there was no tab for the song I posted, it was all improvistional. It's not that difficult, I've been working on improvisation for less than a year. Prior to that I played guitar for many years, but mostly just open chords and barre chords. It turned out that playing these basic chords was great preparation for what I'm doing now. As for hardware, I'm playing a Jay Turser SG (humbuckers) and using a Pandora PX3 to add some chorus and echo. I love echo. The Pandora is plugged directly into my sound card. For recording I use Audacity.
Nowhere-man, it's all noodling at this point. What you heard is as good as I'm able to do at this point. Mostly what I'm working on is fretboard navigation, being able to know from moment to moment which notes I have to choose from, so to speak. I'll choose a chord progression and just improvise over it. I have a long way to go, but I don't care 'cause I'm having fun.

737Blues is way too kind, I think you need a unbiased opinion, DE_South pulls no punches. He'll tell you that you need a fly around, I'm sure... hehe.
Hey, also, how come you haven't put your location on our member map?

Sorry, I don't do go-arounds...jet fuel is expensive, you know.
I marked my location on the map. How long before someone drops off a large sack of money?

Thanks for the reply Sid. You've reminded me I need to spend a lot more time memorizing the fretboard.
I would be having fun if I could sound like you
