Blue Lonely Sunsets
I think I can say That I've written my first "lyrics". Actually heard the tune{pretty much} as I was writing them. This and I may not be radio ready, but thanks to all the help in here I may just get there someday. Now if I can just figure out how to incorporate intro's, bridges, outro's and and a chorus or two I just may be able to make....wow I'm a long way off{LOL}
I know this isn't "collaborations" and i'm happy that I've got this as far as I did, but if anyone feels they can add something to this...Please do, I'd be honored knowing you thought it was worthy enough to pursue. The progression was..Am Em Am Em Dm C G Am..and the interlude{if thats the right word} was Am F G Em

Heres the lyrics if interested
Blue lonely sunsets
across the evening sky
my tears fall freely
as I say my goodbyes
left all alone now
with no one to hold
loves passed away
the world feels so cold
Blue lonely sunsets
across the evening sky
I'm headed for the heavens
heres my reason why
left all alone now
without her to hold
loves passed away
and my world has gone cold

Thanks Eddie, Yes I did like it, very different from what I was feeling, but also felt like it belonged, if that makes sense. Its cool to hear a different take on the same lyrics. Its a big help to me in understanding{some-what} how words can take on a life of their own in so many different directions just by the music that accompanies it.

Kenny,
We all learn more as we go along. I have only begun to scratch that surface at this time.
You may also find that each of us has a somewhat cultured genre too. So some tunes may follow that same vibe which is ok for now.

I'm a bit in the same boat, it's great when an idea just hits you and ideas come from everywhere but it's hard putting the jigsaw together, those are good lyrics and that title is a hook in itself, this will be something special, I'll enjoy watching the progress on this song.

Kenny,
Yes they can ! So goes the feeling too. I find it fascinating. Now imagine how many different ways it can be done. And each time the timing, word breaks, change it projects another tune again. Take a simple or complex lyric, and it changes with the singer and the music. To me it all works together.

Nice tune, Kenny. Good singing and production. Now I'm all depressed...
Just a suggestion - the melody line that is played along with your singing seems too close to the singing - not enough difference. A suggestion would be to play chords maybe and sing along to the chords, then during the instrumental bridge, play the melody. Or perhaps play the melody line an octave or two higher and keep your voice in the low register. It's only my opinion though. Very good
