Slidin' in A
I've put in a couple more hours of practice with the slide...this time I used a brass one...and used a little more mids and gain as was suggested in a different thread.
I used my Strat with the neck pickup into TonePort with a Warren Haynes setting in Gearbox, and then onto Audacity. I used a backing track that I found on the internet, and stuck to a familiar picking pattern that came out fair, I guess.
I hear quite a few mistakes, but I'll get better (I hope). I think It's a slight improvement over the last one I posted in the backing tracks forum.

I really appreciate that, knight46. Some of the best guitar playing I've heard this summer was on a front porch. (2,000 miles from the Delta, though)

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
