Mediterranean Sundance
You may be familiar with Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia playing a beautiful rhumba on "Friday Night in San Francisco" - I think John McLoughlin sat this one out. It was called Mediterranean Sundance/Rio Ancho - the first part written by Al and the second part by Paco. Anyway, this is a very liberal interpretation of the beginning of Meditarranean Sundance - I didn't get into the rhumba part.
Let me know what you think.

I'm pretty sure I have this on vinyl. Al DiMeola is definitely out of my league, but apparently not yours as that sounded great Doug.

Thankyou for the complement. But I'm no where near their league. Nice to dream, though. I really simplified my version of that song. That track (Med. Sundance/Rio Ancho) runs for almost 12 minutes and it's breathtaking.

Beautiful playing Doug , after hearing this and you previous Penumbra recording I think you may have to look into getting one of those black Zoro/SRV style spanish hats
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's,
And his hair was perfect.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
