Second recording with a ribbon mic - an SB original!
Well this is my second attempt with the Sigma Ribbon. Overall I am really liking the ribbon on the acoustic.
This is a piece I wrote with the idea of the processional at a wedding - the love felt between the two people as they make their vows to one another. I have used it a couple of times at weddings I have played at for that purpose, and it seems to work.

Scotty,
That was excellant playing and well done. Is this the sound you were looking for ? The ring in each string, the twang in each note ? The gut of the guitar comin at ya ? Little sqeeks missing ? A regular Andres Segovia you got there.
Then you got it.

Great playin' Scotty! That ribbon mic seems to capture the nuances and convey the sound of your guitar real well - nice and clear.

That was great Scotty_b, the mic gives you brilliant clarity, beautiful playing and the piece did capture the feel of the Wedding Procession. perfectly, Great job and a pleasure to listen to.

Thanks guys
I am going to try it on my archtop soon. I think it should give a great tone recording some jazz with it. I am really getting into Django at the moment, so I might try and play Nuages. I think I could pull that one off. Some of the other stuff is just plain scary that the Gypsy players do!

I'll bet that brought a few tears to eyes at the weddings, Scotty. Lovely playing - what can I say?

I spent a couple of hours today playing Nuages and Minor Swing. Wouldn't mind getting them down for Saturday's gig if I could. Fun songs to play, though I would love to play them with another guitarist.

Scotty,
Wanted to hear this again for comparison against condenser type mic. It is awesome for sure.

dude that was cool...i really enjoyed that however, not to be critical and only because i am completely biased...that would sound even better on a 12 string acoustic.....
