Gone For Good - The Shins Cover
I hadn't heard this for a long time. It caught my attention again Thursday. The original Shins melody is played out of the Key of C. That key is way to high for me. I transposed it into the key of G and even that is stretch on this tune. It has a great melody. Great vocal timing and a very simple 1, 2 strum.
If anyone wants to try this out, I'm tuned standard G. The chords are G, C, D and the wonderful Am. It's easy to follow.
Gone For Good - The Shins [3.2 Mb @ 3:22]
Adapted By Chapman Jones
Enjoy. I certainly enjoyed learning this tune.

Thanks guys.
In my notes I mention an Am. That is incorrect. It is an Em in my recording. The original melody uses an Am. Sorry about that.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
