Up In Paradise - Country Jangle

Hope you all like this. I've been looking for a country jangle sound. I think did ok with this one.

Home recorded using Audacity. It weighs in at 3.8 meg to download. I'd appreciate your thoughts on it.

Here are the lyrics for the song writers.

[lead in]

making my way up to paradise
where the treeline fades to blue
moving like a whisper through the standing pines
i'll be looking for you

looking for you
looking for you
i've be lookin' for you where the stars are bright
chasing shadows in the yellow moon light
i'm looking to gaze into your beautiful eyes
somewhere up in paradise

i had a dream i was in north woods
the snow was fresh and new
there wasn't a single soul anywhere near
except me and i was looking for you

looking for you
looking for you
i'll be lookin' for you on a sandy old trail
hoping it leads me to the holy grail
i'm lookin' for you beyond the next rise
somewhere up in paradise

[melodic break]

paradise is up in michigan
i can get there by canoe
if i paddle all day i can make it all the way
so look out i'm lookin' for you

looking for you
looking for you
i'll be lookin' for you from dawn until dark
longing to fill up the hole in my heart
i'm lookin' to be with you the rest of my life
somewhere up in paradise

**
thanks for getting this far.

Les

That's excellent Les. That is a great country jangle you've got going there, and your voice is perfect for the genre ... good song, production. Great stuff Thanks for posting that!

That was real nice, Les. I read the lyrics first and kind of imagined something similar to your song before I actually heard it. I guess it was the hints country and jangly guitar sound, plus the rhythm of your lyrics. I like the lyrics a lot, they work real well with the melody. Nice 12 string guitar work and you have a good voice, too! Looking forward to more from you. Bravo.
