Pixie Western { original }

I was trying to that bass line thing one hears in alot of C&w Music

Explaination G chord lifting the finger on thee Low E string to get a real bass thing happening ...

My wife heard me playing the Am chord and commented that it sounded like little " Pixie Music "

Hence the title " Pixie Western " , I would dearly love to say its finger picking but it aint , more of picking ruining

Have a listen if you have nothing better to do its not very good

LOW FI WORKS BEST

Thats great, should go into a collab for some Cash style lyrics and voice and a bit of lead work.

The timing is very good and nice tone, a couple of moments when it sounds every so slightly "not quite fitting in" (1min 20 something) for a second or so but its soon back on track.

Might be nice with some comedy lyrics

Your getting some nice alternating bass going but, you tend to lose it on some of the chord changes. Good start though.

Thanks All thumbs

Is the low E string in Em the bass note for Em as it is in G ..

G has 2 E and D strings but Em always confuses me , I played this with a cappo at the 4 th fret

Well thank you Mr Fly

But honestly if I can do it can't be hard , this is how every practice session I have always ends up . Me trying to finger pick but this time I just tried to get that bass thing happening ...

And I just love playing around with Am chord and also open D chord but on this there is no D ..

Cappo 4 th fret then Ijust fingered open G - Em - Am -C was strummed and only went there twice {C} ...

Hilch,
You did a good job on that. Clean it up a bit and add a bass line.
Good work so far.

Not a bad rythem hilch, not sure about your Em question
i find it works sometimes as a bass note, but other times
its best played as a second note

Thanks Tom

Clarification on my question ,

Open G chord has 2 bass notes right ? The D string and Low E String ?

Is low E string the Bass note when playing Em ?

During this recording the Low E can be heard bein plucked simular to a bass being played very poorly , but thats only in the chord of G ..
When I place fingers in the Em fingering position which string then becomes the bass string to do the same thing ..

G chord --D - low E strings
C chord --A - low E string can be used with A string

Does make sense ?
