Hide your love (updated)

Just thought i would update this to make the vocals better and a fatter sound. My voice is raw on this (no effects) even tho i don't think i'm suited to sing this (lennon did it a bit better)....There's a little surprise in the chourus....i'll keep that a secret

Tom, it has all the makings of a good cover except for one thing.... whatever the heck you are recording your voice with! That mic is harsh and tinny. You really need to get a better mic and warm up the sound. I think you're suited to sing it, just not into whatever your using as a mic.

Tom,
Do you have the option of attaching a mp3 in soundclick, I get an error when trying to open the file in hi or lo fi?

Thanks fly, I will be getting a mixer soon with a USB port and preamp. I heard without a preamp even a good mic won't sound good. So if i still need a mic with the preamp i'll get that too. I will state in the post of the first tune i do with the new equipment

knight, i just tried it and it works now. Sometimes soundclicks site has problems. I find sometimes i have to refresh the page to hear something. Don't know about the MP3 thing but if its the site i don't know if it would work, but i'll check it out, thanks

Tomg, your voice is fine for the song, keep at it. I agree with Fly about the tinny quality from you recording gear though - looking forward to hearing you through the new stuff.

It's a great cover, Tom - very well played and your voice fits it perfectly. Once you get that mic issue sorted, everything will fall together perfectly. I, too, look forward to hearing you through the new stuff.

The SM-57 is a dynamic mic...but a very good one.

I too want to hear it thru a better set-up, BUT..like I've said before, I like the sound of your voice...this current set-up gives it a kinda nostalgic sound in my opinion.
