Don't think thrice I'm only learnin'
Hello GFBnB,
It's been a while since I got a mic out to record something and I got a hold of one of those Line 6 toneport thingys so I quick tried to rattle off a song from Kirk's lessons and help on the slide. I hope the copywrite thing is ok seing as I've loaded the song on my personal website. It's don't think twice it's alright, the Dylan classic with some slide riffs over it (not planned so there are some flubbs) but try to enjoy it if you can!!
thanks

don't make me tear up everyone. Thanks. That tone port thing is pretty cool. I could get a little distortion on a Dean Performer plugged directly into it.

Good effort, shermerberger ... I love your vocal delivery and the acoustic has a nice roll going. I also love the slide tone, but may I suggest you do it over again and play some short lines in the gaps left by the vocal. Both are competing for the limelight the way you have it and they deserve to stand alone.
Great potential there, tie up those loose ends and you'll be on your way.

Thanks for all the support and healthy critique. I appreciate it very much. I'll try to get another take out in the not so distant future as well as an orig.

Dylan tunes?.....just keep 'em coming - no such thing as too many. Great delivery and playing (BTW don't forget everyone that you can't post them on this site directly for copyright reasons)

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
