Country Roads
A John Denver song, i should have a mixer within the next couple of months so this is done my usual way, except i added my acoustic electric to the mix plugged directly in. I guess a pop filter will also be in order, since there's a couple pops in this

Nice Job tomg123, good mix, I like how the electric sounded with that.

Nicely done, Tom! You're turning out some good songs! You'll really enjoy the difference in recording quality when you get your mixer hooked up.

Tom,
That was nice, and the mixes are sounding better as you go along.
Good job on this one.

Another good one Tom, it's great to hear you adding layers to your music.
Have you tried recording your voice as a separate track? Just so you're not concentrating on singing and playing at the same.
I got blisters on my fingers........!

Thanks some much folks, yes the mixing is getting better. Adding layers helps my wimpy strumming. Strumming with my fingers gives me a better feel for the strings and rythem but lacks tone. I'm also feeling my seagul (cedar) acoustic isn't cutting it and want a spuce top
Stratcat, i'm pretty much decided on the mixer you got after lookin around. I like the USB,and price but never bought over the net, i will have to pick it up at the UPS office i'm sure
Skinnybloke, I have recorded my voice separate and its good cause i can add effects separate from guitar. I enjoy playing and singing more though, and on this for instance where i wasn't sure how to play the last verse (as i'm sure you noticed) it helps me connect the voice and playing

Hey Tom,
Nice job. So slow, so smooth.... peaceful. That style fits perfectly with this tune. Nice touch with the electric guitar fills rounding out your band. You sure make covers your own and that's as it should be.
