Liquid Amber - High Strung Pickin'

Here's an example of the beautiful interplay between a standard tuned guitar (my Palm acoustic) and a high strung guitar (my Maton). For more on High Strung or Nashville Tuning, click here.

Musical heaven for me! Just beautiful. I get goosebumps listening to acoustic sounds like this. A little gem. Thank you for this Kirk.

Liquid amber - You can always rely on an Australian to get a beer in there somewhere!

Wow Kirk I knew you were good but playing two guitars at the same time? That just isn't being fair to the rest of us.

Lovely tune though, has a kind of happy/sad feel to it. Any Maj7ths in there?

I thought liquid amber was what you called beer down there.

Dang that sounds purdy. I love new tunings. I'll definitely bookmark that page on how to do it.

Absolutely beautiful, Kirk! Those two guitars sound great together.

I've heard it called liquid gold too... Liquid Amber (actually Liquidambar) is a tree, also known as the American Sweetgum (so I just found out)... We have one in our back yard here... and at the moment it's dropping its leaves everywhere.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
