Headphone meditation part 2
Well i started out wanting to see how long i could play a pick pattern, then added other tracks. I use bongo drums in this (figured i use em since i paid 50 bucks for em) and was surprised i kept a decent beat with em, i guess its from years of tapping on the steering wheel to the radio. Its one of my weird ones

Excellant tapping tom.
I think the rest would be better with more reverb and echo if your gonna single note it.

Pretty cool, Tom - it has a real "world music" vibe to it - kinda middle eastern or something. The bongos definitely add to it. Good job!

Tom
You really feel the music.
Every recording you do, has something more than the previous one.
I'm really looking forward to where you go, over the next couple of years ( I can hear "Headphone meditation part 2" with Santana-ish electric).
Well spent $50.

Tom,
There is a lot of feeling in that piece, the single picking seem to lend a very primative air to the mood.

Tom, I think that's your biggest production to date. Very cool, I let loop about 5 or 6 times while surfing GFB&B. I agree with Eddie that the lead note needs some FX coloring to blend into the song. Good bongo playing too!

Tom,
I enjoyed this a lot, I'm listening while I type -4th time round, it's adventurous and different, I picked up on the middle eastern flavour that Stratrat mentions, there's a bit of 'oriental' in there too but it's just a hint.
Something about this is very appealing and keeps drawing me back for more, if I eventually come up with what that something is, I'll post back - don't hold you breath!
Great sound.

Thanks so much guys, its perceptive that "feeling" was mentioned since the original pattern was laid down after a passing in the famliy.
Santana mentioned by skinny could be the bongo's and pentatonic, which he uses alot, maybe even george harrison and david gilmour playin together huh
Fly, this was done with my new acoustic electric plugged right in. First piece i did like that, and it seemed more quiet. I almost bought the mixer stratrat suggested and maybe still will, but they have to ship it some place i can pick it up and they made that complicated....so we shall see
BTW, this tune will stick in your head, i was almost banging my head against the wall last nite so be warned

tomg123,
I've been trying a few things with this in Adobe Auditions, it sounds great with a bit of reverb added in.
And I know what 'feeling' was (for me anyway) - something ominous approaching, something very dangerous.
Yet I keep listening.
