sounds good. A metronome might help with that. Some parts were behind and others rushed, but we can chalk some of that up to nerves. It might help to slow the whole thing down a tad.Just a thought. Glad you posted that.

What are you using to record this, the "sound recorder" program?
Is that why your saying you can only record short clips?

so if you mean the sound recorder will only record 40 secs to a min here's what you have to do.
hit the record button and let it record dead air, when it stops, hit the record button again and it will record another 40secs, do this as much as you need, then hit the back arrow and your ready to record for your slected amount.
hope this makes sense.

Download audacity and record to it. The sound quality will be much better and it's free.

I love it flakey ... you've got the 1-5 bass line going, nice fluid melody line on the top and a great vibe ... like you say: happy.

I must say: I'm amazed at how well you guys are playing after just a year or two. Bravo to all of you.

Ralph McTell is a great player/singer/song writer.

I once saw a great comedy skit on a video ... it came out of England some years ago:

Starts with a guy struggling over a guitar part he's reading out of a 'Ralph McTells 100 easy Songs' song book.

His friend comes in and says 'That sounds horrible' and the other guys says 'yeah, they're supposed to be easy, but there are no little ...you know, pictures ... of the chords'.

His friend says 'well that's false advertising, you should take this Ralph McTell to court'.

Dissolve to a court room scene ... the Judge is hammering down the gavel, Ralph himself is in the dock. The lawyer says the songs are supposed to be easy but they're not. So Ralph plays a beautiful version, saying they're not all that hard. The lawyer asks 'where are the little pictures of the chords? They're missing' and wheels out a huge A chord diagram on an easel to show the courtroom.

'Could we call in expert number One, a mister Eric Clapton' ... Eric himself appears, walks into the courtroom, Strat strapped on, playing like a demon. 'Could you please play this song, Mr Clapton?' asks the lawyer, showing him the Ralph song book. Eric stops playing like a demon, looks at the song book ... squints ... looks at his fretboard ... plays a horrible little noise ... looks up and asks 'Where are the little pictures ... the little ... you know ... pictures? ... like that' pointing to the huge A chord.

'Next expert ... a mister Knopfler, Marc Knopfler' ... Marc himself walks into the courtroom, playing like a demon ... same thing. He stumbles through a few lines, furrowed brow .... 'There are no little ... pictures' he says, looking up in dismay.

Next expert please, a mister Richie Blackmore ... Richie himself enters the courtroom, playing like a demon. Same thing ... no little pictures.

Dissolve back to the guy who is now waking up from the dream on the couch in his living room.

I laughed and laughed ...
