Excellent Jean ... very clean and musical. If that's after three months, imagine what an incredible player you're going to be in the years to come.
I love the Blackbird that starts it all off!

Sounds very fluid and musical! Great job! Was that a parakeet I heard in the background? Seems that if you have the birds liking it you are doing pretty well!
You are off to a great start! Congrats!

Yes, once you know the sound of a Blackbird, you never forget it. So when did New Zealand become overrun with European Blackbirds?
Let me remember: Male, black with yellow bill; female, brown, slightly speckled; nest in shrubs and hedgerows, usually 4 to 5 pale blue eggs with a few brown specks ... love to sing before storms ... hop around the lawn looking sideways for worms ...

I guess I was exaggerating, we have about six of them, aswell as two pairs of tius, and a nightowl, bushpigeons and songthrushes with heaps of sparrows, but they are just about everywhere anyway...

Thanks Jason,
Yes, I have tried that one, I will try and get the whole lesson done, as soon as I get tears In heaven down on the guitar So far I can just get part one and a bit on the next part. You've got a friend is a really great tune to listen to with Kirk playing it... Can you play it yet? I'm having trouble with the f#m7(sus) chords in the first part, the rest seems pretty easy..

Yea, Kirks tears in heaven is great too....I love the middle eight section of that best!
I too have some trouble with the F#m7(sus4) good ole barre chords....other than that I have it flowing OK...will get better in time.
I'm finding part 2 more challenging...but loving every second of it!
Im not sure why but I find the midi files easier to practise with....then when I get the notes commited to muscle memory I work on playing it with some feeling.
Good luck with all your guitar endevors :-)

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works...
