  Hendrix Pedal Part 1

Hey I said I would post some snippets of the Hendrix pedal, so here is part 1. My PC is not behaving so this is recorded with Audacity and not krystal and the backing track did not come through so it is "clean".

I played it on my godin with the pedal set to the intro of all along the watch tower, its an acoustic setting but I love the sound and it sounds good with my very basic Hey Joe intro. I didnt really follow a tab but I had to add the part after the solo at the end.

Agree with the bugs but this was only about the nice tone, this is the first real attempt at playing this and I only started this afternoon.....I know I can only blame my playing at the end of the day.

Dang good job for only starting that day. In Audacity you have to go to the perferences and check a box that allows playback while recording. When you say you didn't follow a tab, do you mean that you picked it out by ear? Because I would find that to be amazing.

Not quite by ear I know the chords so its kind of a cheat and plus i am getting to grips with scales so i can pick out after a few attempts the scale being used

Hey Joe is yet another reason for nailing the E minor pentatonic scale... Hendrix played the intro and licks from this scale throughout the song.

Compare the tabs here with the scale lesson link above to see what I mean.

Hey Krissovo, I liked it! If you were after the tone it sounded pretty close to me... it's always risky to try to play anything by Hendrix but what the heck, give it your best shot and have fun with it.
