I haven't tried slide yet, but it sure is tempting!

Garry,
Yeah I like a heavy slide so Brass has been my favorite. However I just purchased a 50/50 slide from diamond bottlenecks. This slide has a metal inner core and glass outer sleeve...its quick becoming my favorite. It has the weight of brass but the tone of glass.

It's kinda funny, I was attracted to this site by stumbling across a download of Kirk doing a CrossRoads (Clapton groove) slide piece. At the time, I was really interested in picking up slide..so I did. (for a brief time, playing around and familiarizing myself with open tuning licks. ( I believe Kirk plays all in Standard Tuning)
I had some fun with it...then , low and behold..the Acoustic bug bit me, fingerpicking..etc...now I'm back into Off-Shore Fishing...so I kinda put the guitar thing to rest for awhile...usually once the weather gets colder I'll pick it back up.
That 50/50 sounds intriguing..I was just using one of those Blues Medicine type bottles...regardless, your sounding good, and I think ya mighta rekindled my slide journey....again , nice work. (Yup..too many interests, too little time)

Take Care,

Garry

It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
