Coming Back to life (PF cover by Macman)
OK I have been overdosing on the recent Pulse DVD release. Here is my cover of the Gilmour classic. I tried to do this with a live feel on my vocals and guitar solo's. I did most of this off top of my head and did not overdub solo's to retain a kind of live cover feel.
Enjoy, Macman

Really good mac, loved the solo. Just curious do you use a back track or are you playing different tracks like the organ, drums. I would like to use at least drums in some covers I do ( sometimes i think of getting a bongo) but can't find any partial tracks

Great job macman! You are the Floyd master. You have that Gilmour guitar tone down pat. If you don't mind sharing, which amp settings and Strat pickups do you usually use when you do Floyd tunes?

i did not use anything fancy. I used my OLP luke guitar and used guitar settings built in the Boss BR600...all COSM technology from Boss
I started this using my Squire Strat but it won't stay in tune, i need a USA strat one day

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
