Goodbye Blue Sky: Pink Floyd
Hey folks,
With all these Pink Floyd tunes posted here I had to take a crack at one of my favourite songs from the Wall. My daughter Brooke (10) provided the opening line: Look Mommy, there's an airplane up in the sky!
I played it on the Fender Strat then added another track with the 12 string to try to provide a slight echo effect. I think the idea was better than my playing!

Great stuff Todd - I love the mood of that song and you've captured it really well.

Very pleasant rendition. It becomes a little disjointed at times, but I'm sure you can fix that. Nice job!
Hey- I may play slow, but I sure am imprecise!

Nice job Todd, your daughter certainly gives it a great start and you're developing some nice acoustic work there.

Thanks macman,
Coming from a huge Floyd fan like you, that's a nice compliment. Thanks also for the link to the backing track site by the way, I found some great tunes there.
I skipped a verse in my version, but if I get the whole song down I'll post it in the backing tracks then you can download it and add vocals. That would be cool.

Thanks Jay Jay,
I'm going to keep working and improving and maybe one day you'll give me a fish!
A killer fish is RB and lcjones territory, but even one fish would be pretty cool!

Goodbye blue sky
I think is very good, I'm sure by now it sounds even better.
The intro by your daughter is so closed to the original is scary.

Great effort on one of my favourite PF tunes there Todd.
Sorry I took so long to have a listen though.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
